Help Help wiring nightmare
Well I hooked everything up inside the truck for the first time--inside the cab. I checked to make sure I had juice to the fuse box--everything as it should be. So I tried to check the wiper motor to see if it works. I have juice to the switch and juice to the motor but nothing happens. I have (2) two wire clips on the motor. There is an extra prong which I think should be the ground coming from the switch. I can't find that wire anywhere...I guess my question on this is can I run a jumper wire from the swith to the motor??
My other problem is lights. I have juice to the light switch and no juice coming out of it anywhere. I have tried three switches. Any ideas?? I can't even get anything to the dome light... |

Re: Help Help wiring nightmare

Re: Help Help wiring nightmare
There's a diagram on the electrical forum at the top in the sticky section. Open it and go to post 19 for an excellent wiring diagram.
This page may help you on the wipers. http://rmcavoy.freeshell.org/electrical.html

Re: Help Help wiring nightmare
You should use a 2 amp battery charger in place of your battery until you get everything working this will save you burning up motors and wiring

Re: Help Help wiring nightmare
Thansk..thats a good idea...So I have the Wiper Motor figured out...now how about these stupid lights. I am going to the local auto parts store today to buy new flashers canisters, new dimmer switch, new head lights, and all new bulbs for everything. I have a stock wiring harness. I hooked all the grounds up on the firewall. I am going to try it with all the new parts and see what happens.
