yes, I plan on flipping and doing the other side and just overspraying the inside unless it was a particularly bad rust spot.

Acutally...I would bet they are later model wheels since they have the outer nubs...'66 should have had clips to hold the hubcaps.

I wonder if those aren't off a 55-57 chevy sedan delivery. They don't look like anythign off a truck that I'm familiar with.
Plenty of people think late model wheels with way too much backspaceing look good. Maybe it's be, but i think of a 400 pound guy on a huffy 10 speed when I see the wheels tucked in too much.

55-57s were 5 hole. Pretty sure the only 6 bolt "shoe boxes" were black widow...

the panels were 6 lug. The black widow was able to use the 6 lug rear specificly becouse it was a factory installed item on that model car.

Thats strange, the black widow had a 1/2 ton truck rear end in it.

Update:

Fitment on my truck confirmed (they are almost IDENTICAL to the stock wheels.)

I am cleared for Orange painting now - just waiting on the humidity to come down some....

I was told the wheels were from a 66, and my hope is to keep "period correct" for externally facing parts, so 66 wheels painted by hand with chromed caps and rings seems absolutely dead on.

you have the factory outside mount nipples on your rims, so your first choice (the chrome '66 caps) would work.

I like them, should be a nice look. Have you considered the narrow 90's trim rings? I'm using those on my rallys and like the way they make the painted part of the wheel look bigger/wider.
The 66 style caps are cool, I'm curious to see the after pics.
