Proportion Valve Question
Just bought a new porp Valve from CPP. My question, has anyone ever hooked this up without changing the stock brake lines?
Im going to need an adapter to connect the rear line as in the example pictures. Saw these setups from other members, what do I need to do? |

Re: Proportion Valve Question
VDOG,
the top pic is of my truck. I tried to get the original lines into the "new" locations, but it's fairly difficult. you really need at least an inch of straight run before you enter the fitting (this provides a good tight seal). I eventually had to buy a line flare kit to form my brake lines correctly. don't be intimidated by flaring and bending your own lines. after a bit of practice, it's not that hard!!! by the way, I got all of my adapters and lines from NAPA.

Re: Proportion Valve Question
I used the stock brake lines on mine but I had to use the brass adapters for the two lines coming out of the proportioning valve and I had to bend the line 90 deg. coming out of the rear of the valve.
I got the adapters from NAPA. Rob Last edited by Eichorst69; 03-25-2008 at 10:04 PM. |
