temp gauge problem again

I know not another question like all the others. I am confused. Temp gauge does not move, always on the cold side and stays there. new, senser, new motor, but here is my real question. all the forums and other questions talk about wires and color and such but do these wires actually go to the gauge or somewhere else on the cluster " circiut board ". I have 4 "terminals" sticking out of the back of the gauge and not a wire going to any of them. I do have a wire from the senser going somewhere don't know where yet. Is this the problem? if it is can anyone tell me just what wire goes where and is there a way to hook up gauge just to test it to make sure it is a good gauge.
Thanks for the help
Gary

This is my problem as well, that link that was posted it great but it doesn't tell me which wires hook up where to the back of the gauge, my gauge constantly reads hot. But that makes sense because I have yet to hook the sending unit up to the gauge or a ground because I don't know which of the 4 terminals out the back of the gauge to use. Please help!

I figured it out today on my own though, no wires hook up to the back of the gauges it all goes through the circut board, I was also able to find the green temp send wire. Also found on here if you are going from Idiot light gauges to real gauges it isn't just a plug them in and go type thing you have to move some wires around in the instrument cluster harness. If anyone else needs to do as I am here is the link (copy and paste) I found at GMCPauls site that kicks ass and will help me out immensely! http://www.gmcpauls.com/Tech%20Tips1.htm
