Unhappy more help please.

Temp gauge trouble still. I have looked at other site past Q & A but have not found any answers. What wires actually go to and from the temp gauge. Do they hook to the gauge or somewhere else on the printed circuit behind the instrument panel. I have a wire going from block sender to somewhere just don't know where. Also is there a different block sender for gauge and idiot light. these gauge problems make me feel like an idiot. it is always cold and does not move

Re: more help please.

A quick check is to ground the green wire that hooks to the sending unit with the key on. The gauge should read "hot".

The green wire goes into the printed circuit where it routes to the gauge along with a power feed from the ignition switch.

The problem is usually in the sending unit and the gauge type sender is different from the light sender.
