Flowmaster super 44 vs Cherry bomb Extreme

Hey guys im working on my daily driver, its an 01 Dodge 1500 5.9, and its time for an exhaust. i was wandering what would be louder and sound better, a Flow 44 or a CB Xtreme? im do in a 2.5 single in to a 2.5 dual dump... any sugestions or opinions would be greatly considered, even pics if u have em. thank you in advance

Re: Flowmaster super 44 vs Cherry bomb Extreme

I had a 96 ram and I had a summit 3inch from the cat back with a turbo muffler and it sounded good, it was pretty darn loud but I also had my cat hollowed out and it was cheap, http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Re: Flowmaster super 44 vs Cherry bomb Extreme

i have 2 original 40 series flowmasters and i paid $75 for each...i have true dual exhaust but i imagine that it could be around $75 for the single inlet dual outlet muffler like u want.. i dont really like cherrybombs for my '72 chevy because im not a big fan of the cackling it does and my friend had one and it rusted through pretty quick where my flowmasters wall is really thick the box said and will last a long time...its only been on since january and i love the flowmaster...i bought mine from autozone and did it myself.....u want a video i have it on youtube

Re: Flowmaster super 44 vs Cherry bomb Extreme

I own both (except my flows aren't 44's they're 40's)

Sinister has true dual 3" with Cherry Bomb Extremes, that dump out 2' behind the cab under the bed & its really loud !!! (especially if you think your truck sounds like a drag truck)
I love it, but I figure with the setup you have in mind it wouldn't be as loud, but still sound very good

The 40's I have are on my 77 & it has true dual 3" that runs all the way out the back & its aggressive but no where as loud as my Extremes

One big difference is the Extremes are a single chamber & Im pretty sure the 44's are 2 chamber

So if it were my truck Id put the Cherry Bomb on it

(P.S. The Cherry Bombs are really good quality & they arent thin so they dont just rust through)
