bb 4 speed zbar

does anyone have a pic of a big block 4 speed zbar setup? also, possibly measurments and which zbar frame bracket it uses, straight or curved? and if it uses just a zbar ball that screws into the block or a bracket with the ball welded somewhere in the middle of it? looking for a setup. thanks, jake

Re: bb 4 speed zbar

I don't have any pics because all my stuff is in storage. Are you running headers? I'm putting a 427 in my project truck with an M22 and running full lenghth Thorley headers. I have to do some fab work and bracket moving to get the z-bar to work. I have 4 z-bar setups, 2 that work with the ball screwed in the block and 2 with the ball welded to the plate that bolts to the block. I think the answer to your questions is going to be determined by what type of exhaust manifold or headers you are going to run.

Re: bb 4 speed zbar

it's for a 2wd and i planned on running stock manifolds, but would now like to see what it takes to possibly run headers. i would rather have what ever is stock and finding headers that would work, or even having them made to fit. thanks, jake
