Anybody running Mr. Gasket 12" fan
Anybody out there running 1 or 2 12" Mr. Gasket electric fan set up? Are they good fans? I can get a couple for a pretty good deal. Probably run them on a 427 BBC. I think the model # is 1986

Re: Anybody running Mr. Gasket 12" fan
I bought these last Jun and have been running them ever since. That shroud I made was a quick throw together job. I'm going to build a better one later. I'm just running them off of 1 relay going to the key but I'm going to get a temp switch when I get my new engine. Together they only draw 24 amps at the most. Never had any problems with it. The good thing is that the fans cover the radiator completely 20 deg cooler at idle now

Re: Anybody running Mr. Gasket 12" fan
I told the guy I would take the fans. Probably won't be much room left for a shroud but we'll see when I get them home. Thanks for the pics, mine will look similar I think

Re: Anybody running Mr. Gasket 12" fan
I just installed 2 of the exact same fans taht cameeks has. I ran one relay to each. Got the relays from Advanced auto for $4 apiece. But i just got a tranny intercooler zip tie kit and put them right on the radiator. Had some left over foam parts from the AC seal kit and cut them to fit. It looks like the will work. I ran last night and it never got near the middle of the temp guage.

Re: Anybody running Mr. Gasket 12" fan
Heres one of the fan's installed with the zip tye kit. I had to take about 1/4 inche off the left and right side of the fan, but there is enough there to mount on a shrough later with out noticing anthing.
Can't tell on a galluping horse. |
