NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I've decided to cut some of my NOS parts collection. These are each still in their original GM banded box cartons and have never been removed. They have been properly dry stored by me since around 1980. I have kept them for my first 71 4x4 truck I had bought back then and have stored them ever since. There appears to be no surface rust or dents from looking in at then ends of the cartons. They are buried in my warehouse so if someone is that serious I could spend a couple of hours getting the pictures of the GM boxes. I will not remove them but will stand by my word that they are in new undamaged GM quality condition when they are picked up in person.
Serious inquires only but I'm at $3000 firm for the pair of bedsides only. I will not split the pair up. Even when I purchased these new back in the early 80's my local Chevy dealer had to locate from another dealer the right hand bedside but the left hand was available for most of the 80's. I could also come up with a set of NOS wheel tubs and tailgate which is still GM packaged and banded that was bought back then for an additional price and for sale ONLY if a package deal is wanted.

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I am in Atlanta Georgia but I am leaving for St. Louis, MO next week and I will be in St. Louis for about 3 months. These are items that you would not want to ship due to how rare they are. Would you be willing to meet someone if they were interested and how far are you from the St. Louis area?

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I wish I had the kinda bank account that would allow me to buy it all! I think you're going to have to dig them out and put them on Ebay for them to bring in their true value. It's gotta be hard to turn those loose!

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
Thats sounds like a great price, the only pair I ever seen for sale 10 years or so back were $2000. It must be hard to let them go after all those years

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
Yeah I have had those the longest of any of my parts. I bought them when I was just a kid starting my new job and my first child was just born so money was tight then and I still managed to save up and buy these parts a paycheck at a time. I am heading south to Amarillo Texas within the next month with my Duramax so I could deliver them from central Nebraska , Kansas and central to west Oklahoma or northwest Texas.
Thanks, Mark

After seeing what the value is for NOS bed sides...I am now thinking I got a red hot steal of a deal on my LWB take off for $1500 recently.Mark on a side note...I bought this bed after I decided to pass on your SUPER 4x4. That was one sweet truck.

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I bought a pair of NOS longbed box sides last year. Had to give $1700 for them. I thought that was plenty, but you can't find good box sides any more. If you have a nice enough truck I think its worth the money for the NOS. Kelly

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
This thread has educated me. I did not realize the value of NOS bed sides. As they say it all comes down to supply and demand.

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I priced them this way because I know I have never had the chance to get a pair of genuine GM shortbox bedsides in the original wrappers. They may set in my collection a long time but someone someday will be doing a high dollar original numbers truck and this will be the needle in the haystack. I can remember twice over the last 10 years several classic insurance adjusters and owners that would have paid the price if I would have sold them to replace the damaged boxsides on a restored high end truck. I have never offered them to anyone until 72ironmike came up to my place last year and I realized I have way more projects than I do in ambition anymore.

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
I'd say that those are worth every penny your asking
(I have a set of OE Blazer / Jimmy that are not even NOS and I wouldn't take less than $1500 for them so $3K is a great deal IMHO, NO mine are not 4 sale, just comparing)

You don't have NOS Blazer sides in your stash do you!? I'd give the $3k all day if I had a SWB truck, now I am into the Blazer thing!

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
SOLD to Jason for his beautiful 72 big block Cheyenne Super swb and thank you very much. As much as it hurts to let go of these after owning them 25 years, I'm happy that it is going on one of the nicest number matching correct trucks in the country. I'm sure you'll be thrilled with these and your truck bed will be virtually NOS. I'll get them out and get them loaded up. That will be quite a load of NOS parts in my new Duramax. Good thing I am trailering a Trailblazer down so I can stash the trim set in it to save room for the NOS hood and bedsides.
70RS/SS No Blazer sheet metal. I believe the only NOS exclusive Blazer stuff might be a lower black trim set.

Re: NOS LH/RH GM swb fleetside box sides
Mark,
I am looking forward to meeting you this weekend. Right now it looks like Monday will be the best day for me. I will get in touch to work out the details and get the address and stuff. Thanks for the comments about my truck and for the chance to buy your cherished stash. I am excited about getting the hood and bed sides. Hills Hotrods is 95% through with my cab, doors, and fenders. and with the addition of you NOS hood and sides and my tail gate and cowl I should be seeing some serious progress really soon.. Thanks again, Jason
