Tennman....that is one the nicest 4by's I have ever seen! I love your truck. So many details, yet it looks like the original...great job!! Of course, I now have questions.
1. Steering wheel? What/when/where/and how? 2. Gas tank filler. Do you think that set-up would work with a step side? What did you rob the parts off of? Man, a million questions about that. How bout you drive to Missouri and do that on my truck! 3. I noticed your AC is using a new style compressor. What all did you have to change on the plumbing to get that to work? What kind of donor system did you use. I want to go with the new compressor on mine, but was worried about all the other parts working with it. Thanks for any responses to these questions.

Tennman,
I am with 71 stepside, want to know how you did the gas tank filler. I am doing the body work and getting ready to paint soon, and have been looking for a filler door idea. Really a sweet truck. Keith 70 Longbed |

Ya know, I have a big barn with cement floor where you could story your baby. I would even be nice enought to fire it up every couple days for you . . . no charge either. I'm just that nice of a guy.
That truck is so outstanding.

Damn, Ur truck looks NIIIICCCEE. I also like your steering wheel. I saw something like that on a t.v. show but still haven't been able to find one in the aftermarket. Did you have your undercarriage powdercoated or painted? Does that big ass truck fit in your garage? it doesn't look like it, but in your avatar it is in there right?

That truck is awesome! Can't imagine the work/time/money that went into making it what it is. If I had it, I'd park it in my bedroom!
However, "winterizing" to me means changing the anti-freeze, installing new wipers, putting on the snow tires, placing sand bags in the bed, undercoating the cab and bed, 3-4 coats of Rain-X and several coats of Liquid Glass, and making sure the block heater works. "All ships are safe in the harbor, but that's not why they were built." Again - not a slam at all. Your truck is beautiful! Mine has to be on the road all winter. Consider yourself proud (rightfully so) and lucky. Wanna trade - even up? |
