Re: tranny question?

A 93 would have had the 4L60E - this was the first year for it. You could go back to a 700R4/4L60... you'd just need parts from a 92 CPI Blazer if your's is a CPI 4.3L. If it is a TBI 4.3L, than any 92 and back TBI 4.3L parts should work.

Re: tranny question?

You could probably go with a TH350 too, but you'd lose the overdrive of the 4l60e and it'd take an adapter of some sort I think.

Your only real option is another 4l60e because of the computer stuff. If ya went with a 700r4/4l60 I'm not sure what would go on with the FI. It'd probably be wondering what happened to the trans! Since it wouldn't be recieving any feedback from te trans itself.

Oh, just fyi. 700r4, 4l60, 4l60e are all basically the same trans. The "e" just stands for electronically controlled.
