Still looking for another blazer/jimmy with rear sliding windows like mine

Sad sad days ahead of me. Looks as though I am going to sell my 70 Jimmy that I've had for almost 15 years. I'm still have had no luck in finding a picture of someone elses blazer/jimmy with the rear sliding windows. I've heard people say they have seen them but I have yet to see another picture. I've come to the conclusion they are ultra rare and am going to use this in my ad for the listing I do on my truck. thought I'd check here one more time since I have not logged on to here for some time. The truck is my Avatar pic, small, put you can still see them got a larger pic on the show your blazer here thread. Thanks for any info.

Mike.

Re: Still looking for another blazer/jimmy with rear sliding windows like mine

Hello;

Just happened to be looking here - first time in a few years. My '71 has slider rears that (from the outside anyway) look identical to yours. They latch on the inside as well. At work now but can post a picture when I get home. I've owned my '71 for 12 years and the sliders were on it when I bought it.

Of course you should mention what your truck has on it, but be careful what you say. For example don’t list it as a “rare factory option.” In the end they are just side windows; there are a lot more important features to focus on.

Re: Still looking for another blazer/jimmy with rear sliding windows like mine

I think they were an aftermarket or dealer install item. I've only seen a few pictures of trucks with the sliders and a few sets for sale in the past. I think they would be nice to have for areas like the Pacific Northwest where we get burst of nice weather in the spring and then a ton of rain til summer makes its appearance after the 4th of July.

As for them being rare and adding much value, I have no clue, but you might as well list them (keeping in mind what Pop's said).

A friend of mine had a 77 Jimmy with them in it. Not sure if the window sizes are the same or not, but by the looks of the truck no work was ever done on it. I would guess it was something added after it left the factory.

The 73-up Blazers and Jimmys had quarter windows with a parallel top and bottom. They're different from the 69-72. In fact, they're the only thing from the newer Blazers I like better than the old ones.
