Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
Hey I was just wondering if anyone had an idea of how to free up a drive shaft. It is the stock rear drive shaft and where the splined end goes into the yoke it will not slide. First it was stuck all the way out and I pumped a whole bunch of grease in it. Then I put a small rachet strap on and forced it down. It shot a whole bunch of grease out and now it won't come back up. I don't even know where to start on this any ideas. -Jason

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
Sounds like it needs to twist the opposite way that jammed it up. Bolt one end back up, and twist the other end till it frees up. It needs a new spline if this works.

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
The grease is making suction is what it sounds like.Heat it up to melt the grease down.If it was tight before you compressed it it is probably twisted and may not seperate.

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
If the spline is striped, a driveshaft shop could put a new spline and slider on it for ya.

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
Unscrew the zerk and put your air nozzle in the hole, air it up while someone pulls the two apart.

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
Did you get a new slider/yoke?
Did you have to take it to a driveline shop?

Re: Driveshaft spline stuck in yoke.
Yeah I had to get a new slider yoke. It was ruined. They charged me $75 bucks to install and get the new parts.
