What is this hose for??

Well got a tank for relocation. But what is the 3rd small hose for??

I get all the rest. Filler, vent, fuel pump, fuel return, but can't figure out the last one. It came out of a 85ish suburban. Maybe fuel rail return in addition to the pump return??

Re: What is this hose for??

That would be a good guess, just cap it and it shouldn't give you any problems

Vapor canister return? Pull the assembly and see what it does/where it goes.

Re: What is this hose for??

When in doubt, remove the problem. I was planning on capping one of the three. But the Eeny Meeny Miny Moe process as layed out in my chilton manual didn't seem to fit long term plans.

Eh, one outa three ain't bad.

Here's the under side. Looks like your right. Some sorta vapor return off the throttle body. Seems it just dumps into the main body there and out that little pin hole on the right.

I second the motion. It doesn't take much to remove the retaining ring and look at where it goes to.

I agree with the others, it goes to the charcoal canister.
