Post 396 update rocker arm rattle

i posted awhile back saying i got the bb rebuild put back in the truck and fired up,but had a rocker arm rattle that i could not find.well it turns out after changing the oil two times, found metal in it again less than 500 miles on the motor. i noticed the distibutor was groaling when i was messing with the timing.took the dist. out and found a chewed up gear, that bothered me so i figured what the h#ll i'll pull the intake and check the cam lobes and lifters ,ahha i found the rattle that would not go away, very back lifter and lobe by the dist. flat as a possum on the white line, yes we have a few of them here in aberdeen wa. called summit talked to them and have to ship the cam and lifters back for a exchange replacment at there cost.don't know if i should stick with the crane cams now what do you guys think? or should i go with a comp cam?

At there cost? How long you had it? You called crane? They have a good name and good rep. Give them a holler, see what they say.
