My New Blazer

well it is a 1986 chevy blazer. it got a 305 700r4 with 308 gears.

My Planes
turn it into a 2wd and paint it black.
put a 75/76 front clip on it.
drop it around 5 inch.
put a 400 sbc turbo 400 342 gears.

it may take awhile.
here is some pic.
i gave $1300.00 byt he gets the tires and wheels back.
he wanted 1800.00 for it.

how did i do good or bad

If you saved $500 just giving the wheels and tires back that's even better, wont need them anyway. Looks like a good start!

Re: My New Blazer

Since I live in an area that gets an average of 40 inches of snow a winter your choice to change it to a 2wd is just plain crazy IMHO.

With such a short wheelbase that unit would rock as a light duty snowplow in tight spots and would make a great landscaping utility estimate vehicle the rest of the year.

after you scavenge the front suspension from that, you can still sell the frame to someone who wants a short bed frame for not much less---
thats pretty decent economics

Is the front clip gonna work for ya too?
