air ride strong arms.
Do the air ride strong arms have brackets or holes to use the front sway bar. The sway bar I have is 1 1/4 inches.

Re: air ride strong arms.
Good question. I have looked at them on the internet and it looks like they are designed to fit a special sway bar made by Air Ride. I don't know for sure though. Someone else, please chime in!

Re: air ride strong arms.
They are made to use a sway bar with end links, the stock bar will not work.

Re: air ride strong arms.
I think Performance Online sells them... but I'm just judging by a picture I was looking at the other day. You would need to verify that with them. I would think there are others too.

Re: air ride strong arms.
Well i bought both and if you are going to use Nathan's setup you will have to use the air ride setup. The air ride control arms do have holes for the performance sway bar but i do not think it will accept the orginal. It will lower your truck if you use airbags of course. If not it will lower it a little less than stock. Both setups are good from airride and performance online but they will not work if you mis match by getting POL uppers and airride lower. If you look at my setup you will see I tried both and see what happens. Hope this helps.

Re: air ride strong arms.
Hey 63chevyshort, how did you get the front to lay so low? Did you use a different crossmember? And what about the rear, just a regular c-notch? I'm thinking about bagging my truck also but I don't want to sacrifice ride quality too much. Any advice would help...

Re: air ride strong arms.
The CPP lower control arms worked with my narrower stock sway bar. I'm switching over to the Air Ride Strong Arms because they're not so harsh riding with the rubber bushings. I had to use the wider sway bar for the Strong Arms.

Re: air ride strong arms.
Our arms will not work with the factory sway bar. The problem with the factory sway bar is the style of the bar and clam shell bracket itself. Just as soon as you alter the ride height, your sway bar is already starting to bind out in the clam shell. Ours changes it over to the new Posi Link end links.

Re: air ride strong arms.
Hey C-10,
Think they could do the same for a '72 frame? It's pretty much the same as your 64 right? how about cost? TIA, Josh

Re: air ride strong arms.
65shortbox the kit is for Nathan at Porterbuilt street rods. That drop is with is cross member and regular stock 72 chevy truck spindles. The rear is air ride strongarm kit with a regular C notch and a small bump stop. I wanted the same as you i wanted to keep my bed and did not want to start cutting into things.
