Front Cross Member Question...

Ok I'm mecahnically declined therefore I bought this truck as a project and a learning experience.....let me set the stage Im in the Air Force and you give me a plane to load and properly weight and balance and I'll run circle around everyone one, you give me a truck and Im ALMOST lost... I've been running in demolition derbys with my girls uncle so Im learning but I want to learn more!!

I bought a 67 a couple weeks ago and the guy gave me a front cross member with it (not installed) that had disk brakes. A buddy of mine has been helping me alot with my projects so I gave him the spindles/calipers/rotors off it...but now Im think it might be cheaper to buy new dropped spindles, calipers, and rotors (needed them anways I guess) and install that cross member onto my truck than buy all new components to swap my 67 front end over to disk brakes....

This making sense?

I guess onto my real question, how do I tell what year truck this crossmember is from? OR does it really matter? It's got disk brakes, anything (tie rod ends, bushings, bearings, ball joints) will work??

and how the heck do I put pics on this thing...Im trying and cant figure it out!

THANKS IN ADVANCE!
I was going to just do a simple build but the more I read that damn "projects/builds" age I want to strip mine down to the frame!

Re: Front Cross Member Question...

For pics, they can't be more than 640x480, and to put them on you Go Advanced at the bottom of the screen and go to manage attachments, and browse for them on your hard drive, hit upload and post the post

Re: Front Cross Member Question...

take another one on a lower setting, instead of fine, use economy or standard, if that makes sense

Re: Front Cross Member Question...

Yeah that makes sense but I thought there would be a way to do it to pictures I already have.

Thanks though! I guess I gotta roll her outta the garage and take some pictures!
