Rear springs from a mid 80s Monte SS

Anyone know of or used a pair of coil springs from a old Chevelle, or Monte type of Chevy in place of the stock coils in a 67 C10?

I saw a mag pictorial once with a gold truck. They claimed he used Olds Vista Cruiser springs to lower it.That has been 10-15 years ago, before there were aftermarket kits.I don't remember the mag so that is more or less anecdotal.

My friends 71 short bed 2 wd has coil springs on it from a 71 Chevelle. The truck rides really nice but will not carry much of a load. Empty the ride height is the same as truck springs.
