WTB Descent, rebuildable 350ci small block close by.

I need a 350 block or assembled engine that is in rebuildable shape. I have a set of heads I can reuse but I just need a descent rebuildable small block. I am going to replace all the internals. A crank would be good also. If anyone has one close by I would be interested pending price.

Just an FYI, but by the time you spend the machine shop money you could buy a NEW GMPP block for around $675 or so...and it's roller-cam ready.

I looked at that and that is not true exactly.

If you figure on a block for 100, 100 for dipping it and installin bearings and plugs, 12 bucks a hole for bore and hone you in it for $300.00

WHen I did the yellow truck, it costs me $825 for the machine work, Comp cam and lifters, .030 overbore, freeze plugs, $225 of that was the heads, turn the crank, assemble the pistons and rods and a rebuild kit.

BTW, building a motor from an old motor rocks, not a crate motor or crate block or whatever fan

Between my and my buddy I know we have one, whether we are close enough in another question. The engine would be in Harrison, Ar.

The math defintely works out differently here in Seattle The assumption is that it also doesn't need an align hone, etc. So it's definitely true in my experience. Sounds like you've got a great line on cheap overhauls and kits.
