Blazer jack placement

I know the jack and handle go behind the seat in a blazer but have never seen one there. Do any of you have a picture of the Jack in the factory position or could you take one please?

Thanks
Mark

Re: Blazer jack placement

I see the spring for the jack handle and lug wrench. With an outside tire carrier where does the jack go. I thought the placement in that picture was where it goes in pick up trucks?

Re: Blazer jack placement

The floor should have two holes for the spring and bracket that holds it down. Try checking for holes behind the rear seat like in the pictures. A jack in a truck would be found in the passenger side cab corner area. I'm not sure, but were the swing away carriers just a dealer add on. If so, there would still be mounting holes for the jack.

Re: Blazer jack placement

I guess I need one of those springs, Thanks. I didn't know they still put them behind the rear seat on all of the blazers.

Re: Blazer jack placement

My jack was mounted behind the Driver's seat. The spring ran across the vertical sufrace right behind it below the level of the bed. No jack handle, so I don't know where that would have gone.

The long spring is for the jack accessories. The actual jack did not mount right behind the seat. I think if it did, it would prevent the seat from moving all the way back.

Re: Blazer jack placement

Here is a picture of the jack mount and spring. If you look at the jack instruction sticker (posted above) it shows how the accessories mount. It also shows the jack mounted to the floor under the spare tire carrier, with this bracket and spring.
