Fng Here!!!
So in the near future I'll be getting a 93 Chevy ex cab 4x4 with 60,000 original miles. Yes, i know they're right cause its my grandfathers. I was looking at the edelbrock complete top end kits. My question is; would this be a safe and good thing to do? I'm pretty sure that it would be ok sense the miles are so low and there has been no mods of any kind to the truck.
Another one is; has anyone bolted one of these kits on? What was the seat of the pants HP feel? And lastly; The 700r4 is a great trans, but not sure it would hold up. The kits claim a 400+ hp and torque rating should i just get a good shift kit installed or a converter too? Thanks in advance. |

Welcome from GA! The other corner of the USA from where you are!
I have no experience with Edelbrock kit you are talking about, but as far as the 700R4, it can handle it. As long as it is built to withstand that is. Mine is built to handle 750HP, and I love it. It is a great tranny (the 700R4), you should definitely just upgrade it before looking into other options (in my opinion). DLB Last edited by Orange; 04-10-2008 at 09:00 PM. |
