For $39K...there are a lot of vehicles options one could buy for that kind of cash. It's nice but for me not $39k nice.

Re: Ebay- Gold/white '70

now i know what to ask if i ever decide to un-ass my new beater with a Maaco paint job and a swb conversion !!!

for an extra 2 grand -- i'll even consider throwing in Cupcake and Thomas

PS -- i am kidding --- thats a beautiful truck --- 40k is a bit much - considering the rather basic interior and the fact that it is still a truck, but i hope the guy gets 22 or 23 out of it

Re: Ebay- Gold/white '70

I don't really think it's worth 20k, just my opinion. For $40k or even $20k, the rear lower shock mounts need to be done better, the 60 wires going to the battery could be cleaner... there are a few things to "nit-pik", but for $20k, EVERYTHING needs to be completed & clean!!

Is it me or does the bottom of the rear bumper stick out a little much?

And yes the bumper pushes out at the bottom.

It looks real good in some areas, but cheap in others. Maybe if you give him the $40k, he will paint the rest of the needles to match the tach.

I think it MIGHT be worth the opening bid to someone, but never $39k in a million years.

Any guess on what the rear drop is? That's a perfect stance to me.

Re: Ebay- Gold/white '70

No doubt a nice truck, but I'm thinking somewhere in the 18-23k range. Like it was said before, the interior is very plain, and the engine is nicely dressed, but nothing worth the money being asked. I would expect a really fresh coat of lacquer on the bed wood too. The problem is not too many people willing to pay for your emotional attachment.

Re: Ebay- Gold/white '70

Good looking truck, but 40k is too much. NO AC, needs march pulley set, better valve covers and air breather, gas tank still in the cab, bed wood stain is fading.

But I do like the 4 wheel disc brakes. Overall good looking truck, but I do not see $40000.

Re: Ebay- Gold/white '70

I think this sums it up:

Q: Hi, beautiful work on your truck. I just finished mine 2 years ago, took me @ 8 years to build. The price is very reasonable for the quality that went into it. Regards, Doug 1969 Chev Short Fleet C/10 283 4Speed Apr-05-08

A: thanks for your opinions. It took me 3 years to finish the truck and I can not find anything on the truck which needs addressed. The truck is litterally perfect. Let everyone know they could have the truck for much less than any other truck any where close to this quality. I am very proud of the truck and it is easily a $50,000 truck....thanks again

BTW, I like that battery hold down. Anyone know where to get one of those?

This is true, however, if your asking that price for any vehicle, you'll critique it to the bone, atleast I would...... That's alot of money!

Compare that truck to THIS ONE

I agree - I'm a lot easier on trucks that go for a lot less, but for that much money, you have the right to nitpick, and you should.

Wow, ended up at $27.8k! That ought to make people feel a little better about the hard work they're putting into their trucks.
