Tips for the new guy
I want to take the truck out to the new strip in El Paso. It will be my first time at a regulation strip.
I have 94 LT1 with headers and some mods in the compter. 4L60E, 3.73's and a posi, leaf springs. Should I let it idle or runit up a bit before the launch? Manual shift or let the computer do it? I'm running 255/70/15 Big O's. Any other advice I need? Thanks |

Re: Tips for the new guy
Sounds sweet! Good luck at the track. Make sure you leave when you see the last yellow. If you wait for green you are dead late! Stay out of the water box. What are big o's? Try your launch both ways and shifting both ways but only change 1 thing at a time!

I have and everything I have heard was pretty good! I haven't had any direct experience.

Re: Tips for the new guy
I believe canfield was bought out by AFR .
If you feel it throw you back when you shift , you shifted to late . I agree 3 rd yellow , dodge the water box , 5500 shifts , it it spins lift and let it hook and get back in it . Next pass roll in the throttle off idle . If it gets sideways get out and try again . If it hooks sideways it will go for the wall .
