As long as your moving its not bad. sharp turns require 2 hands.
but i still dont drink and drive in stop and go traffic (also has a 4spd on the floor)

Re: Need a small favour, please!

If you want to see how tough it is just unhook the belt from a power steer equip vehicle, truck prefferably, and try it out LOL.

As mentioned above, moving aint bad, but buddy sitting still turning is a PITA.

Our 76 had the pump of it for a lil bit after the 350 swap and it was tough.

Re: Need a small favour, please!

Manual is not that bad. I would defiantly loose the power steering for the turbo! It is a 1/2 ton and from the sounds of it not a daily driver. If you have never driven a manual steering truck I suggest you do before doing the swap. I had a 1977 dodge 1 1/4 ton 4x4 and at low speeds that thing was a bear. My arms got bigger but man parell parking was a night mare we often just found a dirt spot or open areas. At high speeds tho you could steer with one finger. I have never driven a half ton with manual steering but it has got to be easier. My willys wagon (rated at 1 ton from factory) has skinny tires on it and is easy to steer at slow speeds.

Just my experience
