Re: shocks for bagged truck
what you need to do is find a good spot for your shock mounts. measure the distance laying out and distance airred up all the way. take those numbers to your local parts store and tell them you want a pair of shocks that collapse to your lowest number and extend to your highes number. they will be able to find you something close to your spec.
good luck. |

Re: shocks for bagged truck
I have stock rear and front shocks. The 65 stock rear shocks get a good bit of travel so I used them.

Re: shocks for bagged truck
mini truck mag has a tech this month on shock placement for what shocks you want to run.
it goes like this. desired wheel travel / Shock stroke = X ( shock postion, measured from the frame pivot ) X is a % of the total lengh of the a-arm or the rear lower bar here is the example they gave. Rear 10" (travel) / 6.5" (stroke) = 0.65 the rear bar they mounted it on was 30.75. 0.65 * 30.75 = 19.9 so they mounted it 20" from the frame pivot. then collapsed the shock and made the upper fame mount. the did the same on the front. Don't know if it will help but I was wondering it myself. by the time i got all this typed i see you just wanted a brand, maybe it will help someone else sorry.

Re: shocks for bagged truck
I just installed Monroe Sensa-Track all the way around and like them. They were recommended here on the board by a few people.

Re: shocks for bagged truck
those are one of the shocks ive been looking into.. im not sure what shock to get though because my bags are mounted pretty forward on my links so i can get alot of lift but ill maybe need a stiff shock so i can cruise as a low ride height. so im leaning towards some rancho 9000's so i can fine tune it
