After market muffler

So, If I don't want to spend $500 on a cat back system for my '97 chevy, are there any aftermarket mufflers I can bolt in and keep my stock tailpipe? This truck has dual cats.I'm just looking for a little more aggresive sound, but not really loud. Thanks.

Re: After market muffler

You should be able to get a replacement/hipo muffler at most parts places like AZ or Advance Auto/ Oriellys. Summit carries some also. I want to say I think Dynomax is one of the brands, plus Cherry Bombs, and the summit brand (whoever makes them.)

Re: After market muffler

I like flowmaster style sound. Are the mufflers you reccomended dual inlet? Or do I have to run two for my dual cats?

Re: After market muffler

Any of them make the dual in single out.

Have you looked at a Magnaflow muffler?
