LS-1 and 2

does anyone know of a reliable source for used LS-1 and LS-2 motors? I am leaning towards purchasing one for my project.

Re: LS-1 and 2

See link to Ls1tech in my sig. In the fifth post down, there is a buttload of links to other people who've done the swap. The fifth link from the end of the fifth post is to Schram's - check them out - you will pay more through them, but they're as solid as it gets.

Otherwise, hit your local (within 2-3 hours) Craigslist and look out, you can find them for half of what you'll pay on eBay, maybe with a few thousand more miles, but ... sometimes even less than half!

Don't get hung up on LS1 and LS2. The 99+ truck/SUV 4.8, 5.3 and 6.0 engines are as powerful or more powerful, and basically the same thing. These carry model disgnations such as LM7, LQ4, LQ9, etc. All of them are GenIII small blocks and can interchange parts from engine to engine.
