Lifting a 2wd

The 2wd either need to be lowered of lifted, that being said have any of you lifted one of our series in a 2wd. I have a real clean '70 thats getting a new motor, trans, interior this winter and it rubs/scrapes on a few trail sections in my favorite hunting area. Yep, I've thought of a 4wd but with a posi I have no traction problems. Is it just a matter of finding a longer set of coils for the front and adding a leaf in the back? I like the pre-runner look and since I can see ball joints in my future....

I know they make lift kits for late model 2wd chevy trucks. Maybe one of those kits could be adapted to our era trucks. Also a note on lifting 2wd's, Baja racing trucks are nothing but 2wd, they can't get the t-case and front diff to take the abuse.

Doesn't someone sell a spindle for this? I'm sure I saw an ad for one in a Truckin mag at some point. The only thing is that it's for 73-87 trucks so there'd be a bit of hunting for tiie rod end etc to make it work.

If you want to lift a 2wd then just bag it, with bags you can do anything, you look at all the REALLY BIG 4X4s with radical suspensions and huge lifts 4 links they are starting to use bags more and more.
