cheap straight axle swap late model

i have a rockwell 211 independent transfer case, im doing a sas on my 97 crew cab. i used front spring hangers from a 78 ford f250 and the rear spring hangers. and i used 2003 f350 superduty 4" lift leaf springs. here is a before and what i have done so far.

Really like your Build, Great way you went about doing it. I 1st saw your post in Storm Chaser's thread & meant to compliment you on it then, this actually worked better for you to do your own Build thread for us to follow along with...........

What all do you have planned for the Truck Build???

the front spring hangers will be weld to under the frame horns.

by the way this is a 2wd converison i have done many of 4wd converisons, so i thought i would convert my 2wd to 4wd.

no the front hangers are front f250 hangers attached to the spring in the rear is the rear spring hangers from the rearend from the same f250. it is 8:55 a.m here in Fl i will be installing the frod 1/2 ton crossover steering on it today. will post pics later.

i might use a block lift and level the truck. or i might have some springs made by tampa spring.

the transfer case is a independent rockwell 221 out of a 1967 suburban, im building the cross member. wifes 98 gmc z71 blowed head gasket yesterday.

Haven't seen this post in awhile, but that turned out pretty sweet. Have anymore pics of the mounts?? About how much lift did you get overall??? I want to do a small SAS, trying to get some ideas....

at first i had 4" overstock springs which gave me 10" of lift. i removed the 4" overstock and put the stock springs on it. 6" of lift with the factor springs. drives as good as it did before. which pics do you want to see. i can get the pics for you.

look at the wheel well you can see how much lift.
