Rolling Fenders
I know that this might be slightly better served in the body/paint section, but since the truck's a 60-66, I thought I'd post it here.
I installed a set of 15x10 chrome smoothies that I bought off of a great member of the site, threw a set of 275/60s on there, and it looks like I'm going to have to roll the fenders a bit, probably a good 1/2 inch on either fender. I wish I had gotten a good photo before it got dark tonight, sorry. Does anyone have suggestions of how to get this accomplished on a stepside truck?

In the old days we used a wooden baseball bat to roll fender lips.
The trick, like most projects, is to TAKE YOUR TIME! Place the bat between the tire and fender, have somebody slowly move the truck forward while you allow the bat to spin in your palms. Pushing down on the bat while doing this increases the amount of material rolled. You would be well advised to do alittle roll amount several times. After each roll check clearance and repeat as needed. There is also a tool made for this now that is available from the Tire Rack. http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/tools/fenderlip.jsp It is pricey though. Remember, go slowly! Bringing this back thread back to life.
What about fleetsides? I would think the bedsides are probably a little more apt to bow out . Is there a safe way bend the lip up and not mess up the bedsides?
