he drove a chevy for a long time in that stupid ranger show, then when the ram got popular he got the dodge.

The trading post was actually the old general store at the end of my street. The general store was opened in 1944 by a husband and wife team, both have passed. I actually saw Chuck Norris driving by on my way home. I went blind for a brief second and totaled my truck! No seriously, the trading post on the show was actually filmed at the end of my street in Ovilla, Texas.
