Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

I need one of the longer top brackets (the curved slot) Supposedly the 72 had a 1" longer bracket.

Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

Tony, we could split a set since I only need the lower mount..... I think I can use my 68 upper mount still, is that right?

Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

Mike, PM Randy your shipping info and ask how much extra to send you the bottom from my set. I've already paid him for the set and shipping to me. Pay him the extra for shipping to you and that'll be fine.

So these bolt to the head? Looks like it won't work for me then. I'm holeless!

I appreciate the offer and would gladly split the cost if it can work... any ideas?

Set on left is sold to Tony, I have one more set like that, 4 others with the shorted upper bracket, I didn't get a pic of those. I also have the set on the right. Here is a pic of head where the set on the left mounts. Thanks Randy

Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

Mike, you may want to look at the low mount alt brackets. I know Skip White sells them and probably some of the board vendors. Hopefully one will chime in. I'll try to find a link and PM you. Don't want to jack this thread.

Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

here is how the 69 and up lower cradle mounts, the upper arm uses the same bolt as the cradle, in the left hand side (as looking at these photos) bolt.

Re: Drivers side ALT brackets

Those extra long '72 brackets are the bomb. Even though they're only supposed to be 1" longer, the slot is longer as well. The one I got bolted right in and gave me a LOT more play...
