Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

I'm looking at a replacement, but not sure if it will fit. If anybody could tell me what the heck the width of the stock bench seat is, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks!

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

I just put a rear seat from a 90's chevy crew cab on mine and it fit right on.

I have it out in my country property but, I'm almost certain my old seat was 58 inches and the replacement was about the same.

I wish you had a picture, I'm looking at a rear seat from a '06 Silverado, there 60" wide. Here's a few pics of them:

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

Probably won't get out there until Thurs. I'll take a pic then if you still need it. I don't see why 60 inches wouldn't fit. You have a couple inches or so on either side with the stock seat.

The thing you may have to watch out for is the height. Those seats look pretty tall and if you have the stock steering wheel you will be squeezing in. May have to do some mods...

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

If you can give me a couple days... when I get back home I will measure my seat. I just pulled an aftermarket seat out and installed an original seat in. If I remember correctly the seat I pulled out was roughly 5 foot wide, long, whater.... from door to door. Let me know exactly what measurements you need and I will get them for you. Maybe I can convice the wife to check on it for me.

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

Thanks guys for the offers! The seat I'm looking at is 60" wide overall, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't too wide OR too narrow for my '67. I just need the overall width of the original bench seat to make certain.

Thanks again!

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

I didn't have any body to help me, so I measured from a seam to one edge of the seat; then went around to the other side & measured from the seam to the other edge.
Came up with 58-59 inches.

Hope that helps a bit.

You're welcome. Glad I could help.
That's why we're all here.

FYI, though, I didn't go out of my way. It was simply a matter of walking out to my driveway.

Ever the smart a$$,

Re: Anybody know the width of stock bench seat?

This is what a 88-98 rear seat out of a crew cab looks like in our trucks

It fit good, but just like the stock one its a lil tall to me (prolly cuz Im 6' 3")
