Re: starter lag

to delay or fail in reaching full development

when i turn the key, instead of turning over right away, there is a pause or a slow response to the starter. almost like when you try to start the truck with a weak battery. it does start, just not instanly. battery is brand new and with high cold crank amps.

Re: starter lag

have you tried bypassing your auxillary sw. run your purple or solenoid wire directly to "S" term. on starter and see if your hesitation or Lag still there.
what about if you run a jumper straight off the main term. of starter and the S term. of starter is there lag , if so I would wonder cond. of starter, but sounds like something ahead of that...

Re: starter lag

cable size should be good. battery cables to battery and to b terminal on original solenoid. as for the wire from the s terminal, i believe it's 10 or 12 gauge. i will check the ground and the purple wire connection. thanks guys.
