Soft Top Measurements

Anyone interested in measuring the fabric of their soft top to assist those in having one built by a canvas shop? Maybe some hardware measurements too? The best I could come up with were installation instructions for the Bestop Tigertops...

http://www.bestop.com/installation_guides/51315.pdf

Thanks!

Re: Soft Top Measurements

Thor, you can come over to my house and measure my soft top and all the components (STC fastrac). It's off the truck right now and in a box. PM me and I'll give you my phone number so we can arrange a time. I'm just in the North Kirkland/South Bothell area off the 160th exit of 405.

Re: Soft Top Measurements

You may still be able to buy all the hardware/framework from Bestop. When I contacted them at the end of last year, they said that they normally carry the hardware for 4-5 years after a top is discontinued. It would at least save you the trouble of trying to make it yourself. I would be glad to give you the measurements off of my Bestop, but it will be awhile before I can do it. I had a surgery this week and I am not suppose to lift more then 10 pounds for the next month. If you are ever coming through Oregon on I-5, you are more then welcome to take the measurements on my top if you wish.

Re: Soft Top Measurements

bouncytruck - Thanks! I'll PM you with my phone number and we can arrange a time. Funny enough, I've seen you "bouncing" along 405 a couple of times and have coveted your orange blazer.

ablazn - good info. I will probably get STC measurements from bouncytruck, but if the canvas guys don't want to hassle with making bows for the top, I will go with the Bestop parts. And thanks for the invite to Oregon. Also, great story about your blazer. Lastly, heal fast!

Re: Soft Top Measurements

It would be nice if someone out there would start makeing soft tops for the blazer. I would like one when I get my blazer redone. My hopes is to never use my hard top again

Re: Soft Top Measurements

you guys should post the measurments as a sticky for all the other people that would like to make one, or have one made. it would be pretty nice since they can hardly be found for someone to post the measurements and everything about it. so that people that want to try can fab one.
