Holley Carb Owners Beware!!!
You know those plastic clear see thru sight plugs... They suck!!! Both of them broke off and fuel was sloshing out... Leave the standard brass screws in place...
They broke off right by the o-ring. Leaving the treads in the fuel bowls! I have hurd of other people that have had this problem. I guess they would be fine to set the fuel level, but then put the brass screws back in... Just my $.02. -Ben

Good info to know...
I remember looking at a Holley in a vehicle some time back and thought that the sight glass was a pretty good idea. It did look like they had been in there for a while. |

The Street Avengers come with these plugs factory. I haven't personally had any problems with the ones I've installed.

my avenger came with brass plugs installed and clear plugs for adjustment purposes only.

Yea guys just be careful fuel leaks can be deadly!!! YIKES... Not to metion mess up really nice trucks and make lots of work.

 at WinDancer. We don't need no stinkin' manual. Anyway, I bought a Street Avenger back in 2002 around the time they first came out with them. It had the clear plugs, and yes, they would break off at the o-ring leaving the threads stuck in the bowl. I ordered a new one in 2005. It came with brass plugs installed with clear plugs for use to set the float levels ONLY!! It said to replace with the brass plugs after the floats were set. Holley also makes new fuel bowls with built in sight glasses. I beleive they are not removable. Other companies like Proform and QFT also make them.
