Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

Out scrounging today and came across a 67 one-ton with a V-8. Carb is a carter wcfb. Not sure if it is original. My question is, how can i positivley id it with the tag mia? It has a bunch of patent numbers, but i can't find the 4 or 5 digit number on it. I can post pics if it may help. Any ideas? Thanks, Eric

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

Does it look like this,if so this is what i believe to be the right carb for 327.Both of my 327 trucks have the same. Also there was no 2bl on the 327 according to my lititure. This info only applies to 67,but may be correct for other years. Its not an easy carb to find for some reason.Let me know if numbers or pics will help.

Clean67, that is the rochester 4 jet you have pictured. The one i picked up is a carter wcfb. It looks like it was used until 67. I will post some pics tomorrow

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

Post all the numbers that are 3 - 5 digits. Some Carters have a 3-digit number instead of 4 and some have letter after them.

Or look here if you already have them in front of you.

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

There is a number on the choke that doesn't cross in my book. aw549s. that is on the outside of the choke. Any other ideas on where to look? The base of the carb is rough cast, so no numbers there. I will keep looking.

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

Still looking. All I found so far is some info on the choke.

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

The one on this page looks like it with a different choke. Cannot tell in your picture if the top part on yours is an adapter for breather or part of the carb.

Re: Hey carb guys. I.D. Help.

I appreciate the help. We are getting somewhere, but i am guessing it is not original to the 67. It was used until then, but a truck would have a 2bbl according to my book.
Sbellew, definatley not a 348 as the choke identifies. Would already be pulled and sitting in my garage if it was...
