Throttle cable removal??

Need to change out my throttle/accelerator cable on the 72. How is it mounted to the fire wall? Is there a nut on the back side or what? Can't see too well because of the firewall insulation but don't want to start tearing stuff apart that I don't need to. Thanks.

Re: Throttle cable removal??

The platic part that goes through the firewall clips on the inside. Squeeze the sides of the plastic and push it through toward the engine compartment. You may have to make the hole in the insulation a little bigger to get to the sides. I think its easier to get to if you disconnect the cable from the foot pedal first.
