Unhappy How bad is this rust spot?

I keep my truck outside all the time. Sprinklers are close by but I never paid attention. Today I was greasing u-joints and found rust on the right side of a cab. I didn't see it before. Is my cab done? Time for another truck?

Re: How bad is this rust spot?

Is this a joke? If not I agree you need another cab, and I don't think you should scrap that one......you wouldn't want to help the Chinese take over the world any more would you........... no you should send it to me and i will properly dispose of that cab since it is obviously completely ruined.

Wipe that off with a wet rag and quit acting silly. I have a "little" rust in the same area, sometimes my cat crawls up thru the hole and lays on my dash to sun bathe when it's cool out.

Re: How bad is this rust spot?

ANY rust scares me, thats why i only use rustfree sheetmetal on my projects. it is out there if you hunt hard enough, not as plentiful as it was a few years back.

i got more rust then that under my nails when i replaced my rocker.

Not bad, but does need some attention to keep it from getting worse in a couple of years.

Re: How bad is this rust spot?

I bet you regret posting this now huh? You gotta love these guys. always good for a ribbin. over here in NM, our rust only gets that bad if the trucks been sitting out in a field for 20 years or more.
