Question Front lamp wiring harness????

Hey guys,
There have been alot of questions lately about the different wiring harness for our trucks and alot of you have posted the diagrams for everyone to see. Very Helpful, to say the least. My question is does it really matter if your truck has "idiot lights" or a "gauge dash" when it comes to the front lamp harness. The reason I'm asking is because in all my resto catalogs they DO list them with gauges OR without. It sounds like there may be a difference. I saw a few harnesses at the junk yard but the bezels were removed. I just thought I would check with you guys first before pulling one that wasn't going to work for me. Thanks

Yes, it matters.
Since the whole front of the truck is on one harness, the lights are on the same as the engine harness, and the engine harness would have connections for sending units for lights...or guages.

Thumbs up

The forward lamp harness has the wiring for the charging circuit on it and because of this is the portion that feeds either a idiot light for charging system failure, or a amp gauge to monitor charging system on a gauge dash is the reason this must be specified, as the wiring differs for a idiot light compared to wiring for a gauge dash.

Thanks Andy and Paul!. Man, I thought I was too lucky getting this harness. I guess I'll try to trade it on the parts board or sell it on ebay.
