My passenger window is stuck in the "up" position, I believe the regulator is rusted and now frozen. I tried for a couple of hours yesterday to get it lubed enough to roll down, so I can pull out the vent window and the regulator.

Is there a way to swap out the regulator with the window "up"?

If I remeber correctly thats how I pulled mine off with the window up.I don't think theres room to pull the reg. out with the window down.

If its stuck, and you are planning on replacing it anyway, just get a big hammer, chisel, and vise grips and rip the regulator controll arm out. Not sure if thats it's offical name, but the shaft where the roller attaches to.

That should drop it.

Or just put a hand on the inside and out side of the glass, and wiggle it down. Worked with mine.

x2 on the vice grips. That's how I got mine out. Not fun at all.

pull the door panel off, and squirt a butt load of PB blaster in there on the tracks and everything. It probably doesn't even need replaced, just lubed.

Hopefully Longhorn Man's suggestion will work as getting the regulator out with the vent window assembly in is pretty impossible.

Thanks everyone, I'll pick up some PB Blaster tomorrow and give it a shot. I've tried lithium grease and WD40, but that was a gargantuan waste of time.

How does the glass slide off of the regulator? Does anyone know of a diagram?
