Lets see your 8 lug wheels

I will be buying some 38/14.5/16 toyo mt tires at the beginning of next month and will need new rims, I am currently running 15" rims so these wont work. I am looking for something a little more flashy and prefferably in a 16x10 rim. What do you guys suggest? Here is what I am working with

Re: Lets see your 8 lug wheels

looks better than mine.
Before and after.
In all reality, the before is a 16.5, and the after is a 16... but the 16 actually looked worse than that nasty wheel there.

Re: Lets see your 8 lug wheels

Do they make a 16x8 or a 16x10 8lug stock looking rally wheel?

They are 9.75x16.5.You can get 10x16s these days.On 3/4t & 1t (8-lug) the poverty caps would be painted dog dish and deluxe would be Stainless dog dish.No full wheelcovers until later trucks.

I think that Blazer would look great with white spome 16s.Or,the Bart-style 8-hole painted rims. Some trucks, like this, look just as good with good ole steel as any $300 polished alloy,IMO.Looks right for the era.

Re: Lets see your 8 lug wheels

Thanx YUKON. its funny how I came across them, I searched and searched for 8 lug wheels that would look cool, I went to shows, swap meets, and finally I found a quarter size picture in the very back page of a truck'n mag. and ordered em , hopeing they would work and look good, I bit the bullet sorta speak and gave em my credit card crudentials and low and behold they arrived aired up with new rubber and stems, and even balanced , I ended up mounted , looked pretty descent, I thought.

I was just wondering how many of us had one or two or ten of those aluminum turbine (or what ever you call 'em) wheels laying around. I seem to get at least one on every parts rig I drag in.

I lucked into a set of five 8.25s. Here are shots of the perfect three for these trucks. Dang,I went to find other 8-lugger pictures and it looks like I must have accidentally deleted the whole folder. What??? I have a folder named "Bits & Pieces" with sub-folders and "Wheels & Tires was one. I was just there the other day to show a wheel in another thread the other day. Hate when that happens...DOH!

The rare factory optional 8 lug 8.25 x 16.5" with clips to accept '67-'68 3/4 ton hubcaps. This look can be very closely duplicated by adding original GM 3/4 ton hubcap clips to the late model 8 lug Econoline van 7" x 16" bumpless wheels.
