Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

I bought a very decent double wall top from uncle for my '70 Blazer. Mine was sagging in real bad and has a 70's plexiglass Van bubble grafted into the top of it. This one has zero sagging and is in great shape. The hatch has one small crack at the botton, but is 100 times better than mine. A single wall would be great, but this one is so nice, I cannot complain!

Looks like a great score! A little cleaning and it will look good as new.

Sweet! They are getting harder and harder to find like that. I have a dbl also and I'm going to restore it because I'm pretty sure it's original and it's in pretty good shape. Keep us posted w/ pic's, please!

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

just curious how much that is worth? I have a single wall(I believe) that im ready to part ways with. its in the same condition as that one you have there, save for only 1 SMALL 2-3 inch crack on the drivers side above the windsheild. The rear lift gates hinges are awesome as well. Overall its in exceellent condition. Just curious on how much they go for. Thanks for any answers.

It is a single wall top if the bolts drop down through the bed side from the top and it has dome lights in the top. Price depends on how close you are to someone that is looking to find one; but normally the single wall tops sell for a bit more than double wall.

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

Why are the single wall tops so much more desirable than double wall?

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

The single walls are lighter and don't tend to sag like the double wall tops.

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

In my case it's not so much, more desireable, but my 72 2wd came with a single walled top so I "NEED" a single walled top, because of the capture nuts under the rail. I could just knock them out and redrill, but why would you make a Blazer that is a single walled Blazer from the factory a double? If the member that had one wasn't in VA, I'd buy his!

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

Man, don't I know it!! I have all these rust free to nearly rust free parts and no way to get them that way either and with fuel going through the ceiling it won't be anytime soon! I'll keep you in mind if I head back to OH to visit my dad this summer or next??

Re: Scored a top for my '70 2WD!

I've got a single wall in northwestern NC I need to unload that's in decent shaps if anyone is interested. Tired of lugging it from place to place...
