67' cst

I bought a 67' cst swb 2wd truck. It was bone stock with a camper shell on it since new. The paint in the bed was like new, but the body had a couple minor dents. It has a 327 with a turbo 400 and an after market a/c. I was wondering what a truck like this is worth?

Re: 67' cst

nice looking truck --- value is in the eye of the beholder --

does it have any rust in the rockers or anywhere else? If it doesn't have much -- that makes it a pretty desirable truck by default (condition trumps option lists in some occasions)

If i was looking, and if i was in the market, and if the truck checks out as good as it looks in the pic --- i would expect to pay 6k - 6500. Anything less and i would consider it a good deal --- anything more than 7k would be a bit much (for me - maybe not for someone else)

clean trucks cost more upfront, but in the end, the bodywork will cost much much less, or just throw some airbags on it and roll it as is

The is no rust anywhere. I peeled the carpet up in the cab and looked, I haven't found any.

Re: 67' cst

Great looking truck!

I bought a 67 CST a couple months ago for $3900 with only some minor surface rust here and there (gotta love the southwest!), but I got a pretty good deal. Do you have a picture of the build sticker on the inside of the glove box door? Rare options make it worth more. I would say anything less than $6K is a good deal.

What are your plans with the truck? Is that the bumper wrapped around the side of the bed?

Yeah it has the wrap around bumper, but I took it off to prevent the bed from rusting. I will put the build sticker up tomorrow.

Re: 67' cst

One more question, is it a big or small back window? In my opinion, the small back windows isn't as desirable

And just to beat some of the other members to the punch....more pics would be great!

Re: 67' cst

I`d say $6,000 is a good average to nail it down to a number.I disagree on the big window being worth more.Just like anything,it depends on the buyer and since that`s a`67-only thing to the right buyers could make it worth more or at least more desireable(which usually equates to more motovation=more money). The fat that it has the top-of-the-line powerplant adds to it`s worth as well. The greatest thing is it`s virginity, which is hard to find these days.I`d have a hard time doing anything to alter it`s originality in a way that couldn`t be switched back.Personally.That would be one I`d put to pure stock, which has always taken more dicipline than I`ve had in the past.We need to leave a few examples out of a million, right?

Re: 67' cst

Here are some picks of the truck and build list. It does have the large back window, which was an option on the cst for 67'.

Re: 67' cst

ok - after seeing the shape of the bed and the buddy buckets ---- i'd say if you got out for less than 8 or 9 k , you did good.

You probably paid much less --- i am actually envious if you did

I would have a hard time touching it --- if i did , i would restore it back to stone stock (this from a guy with a tube framed '69 Camaro)

Re: 67' cst

Man, your truck is very similar to mine! Wish my bed was as clean as yours though! If the truck has the original engine and tranny I would definitely keep it stock, but judging by the new pictures it looks like you've already swapped wheels and possibly lowered it? The one item on your build sheet that doesn't have a description is the wood bed. Here is my SPID with the description for the wood bed....

I just had some rims laying around so I put them on it, but I kept all the stock rims, tires and hub caps until I make up my mind what to do with it. I see the option 04E81AA on my build list which is the code for the wood bed, but it doesn't say it next to the option it is just blank which is wierd.

Now that's funny. I don't care who you are.

Very nice truck by the way. I love 67's and I am sure you have more than a few guys here that are envious of your purchase.

That is weird that the option doesn't have a description on your build sheet. The hubcaps that are on the truck in the first picture you posted don't look like the ones on my truck, are they the stock caps? I noticed your hubcap code on your build sheet is different then mine. Just curious...

As far as I know, they are the original hub caps that came with the truck.
