Re: headers

I went with some cheap headers since I'll be doing a motor swap again in the future. They are the Flowtech headers (#11500) and fit great. They are a tuned full length header, but you can tell they're cheap though as compared to the construction of 10-15yr old Hookers (for a '70 Camaro) that I pulled off. One thing I will say about them is that their design (routing and bends) and smaller 1.5" tubes (vs 1.625") tubes makes it easy to use a socket on all but 2 or 3 of the header bolts, and much easier to remove and install the plugs.

Re: headers

x2 on the Flowtechs. The price was right and they are easy to work around.

Try Early Classic, they sell a very nice mid-length made by Sanderson. www.earlyclassic.com

Re: headers

Does anyone have the sanderson's on their truck? If so, how is the fit and is there any routing issues with a stock truck? HaysonJ, how much were your hedmans and do you have the part number? Thanks.

Get some of the ARP header bolts with the 5/16" head. it's a 3/8" bolt but has the smaller head so you can use a socket on them!

Do you have any clearance issues with the OEM column shifter linkage?

None whatsoever. I wish I had a photo from the bottom to show you the clearance.

Thanks, I just put my Sanderson headers, but no exhaust. I like the OEM trans linkage and wanted to keep it. Good to know.

Listen to this man. He know's what he is talking about! Wrenches and headers do not mix! "Are you serious? Does this bolt ever end?!" Four letter words left out.
