What a waste...
So I recently changed jobs and as a result I have to drive a different way to work now...
I drove past what appeared to be a GMC SWB 4x4 on the side of the road this morning on my way in...and decided to go back over my lunch hour and have a closer look. I got out and when I looked underneath - I was surprised that there were rocker support boxes - then I stood up and noted that it was a unibody - somebody had grafted a cab roof onto a Jimmy - not a half cab - but they welded the cab roof on there and then slapped bondo over that - I checked out the body mounts and they were solid - but the thing is crap now with the body work that they did... I didn't have the camera with me or I would have got some pix... Maybe I should go back and low ball him since I know what it could be with some body work... Just was disappointed to see that the Jimmy was ruined in that way... |

Re: What a waste...
I'm not a fan of the Trazer (or Bluck). I think it ruins one of the best assets of a blazer - the removable top. Unfortunately, there have been many made. If you own the truck, you can do what you want.
Low ball he guy and see if you can make a nice off-road truck.

Re: What a waste...
He seemed pretty proud of it...(for the asking price) - and it was Frankenstein'd together...
I didn't get to see the inside of it...the doors were locked. I didn't talk to the owner - just stopped to check it out. |

What a waste... I've never been a fan of the Trazers. Just because you can doesn't mean you should.

They can be very well built like LFD's but it's not my cup of tea.

Re: What a waste...
I agree with you guys, why not just build a truck if you want a truck. It ends up looking like a truck - even if it is a goofy-looking short truck! Now that I think about it, Trazers are the short buses of the trucking world!

I didn't read it very well. I didn't notice it had a removeable hard top. That's a great price!

Re: What a waste...
Man, someone needs to grab the one in the link - $1,800 asking price isn't bad but I'd bet it could be had for $1,500!
Thanks for posting pics of the above trazer. I appreciate the craftsmanship it takes to do that mod correctly, but I just don't see the appeal of loosing the ability to yank the top and be free!

Re: What a waste...
Buy that red truck. Put the half top on the green 69 and convert the red one to 2wd...

Re: What a waste...
I built a rack in my garage so now I can take mine off by myself. I used four eye bolts in the ceiling and two 2x4s with eye bolts at each end. Then I ratcheted the top up with tie downs.
