Change of Altitude & Attitude! New wheel pics...
I did a 3/5 drop on my beater truck this weekend, and I today put a set of wide and narrow steelies with 67-68 hubcaps. I have been wanting a beat around truck for awhile, and I have flipping back and forth between a shop truck, a rat rod and I have also been wanting another street/strip truck with fatties on the rear and skinnies on the front. Since I'm already tagging and insuring 8 cars, I decided to try to build 1 truck that captured all of the things I've been wanting. I'm still undecided, but I'm leaning towards a satin baby blue paint scheme with fresh white bumpers mirrors and roof to compliment the wheels. I'm p[rety sure its getting a '68 clip and red 68 emblems will kind of pull the red of the hubcaps a little better. I am very pleased with tthe way it turned out.

Awesome!!
You know I'm a sucker for stock caps. And you've definitely captured what I want to do with my truck, with the wide rears and stock caps. So, let's hear it. Where'd ya get the wides? eh? eh? haha. and what size tire? c'mon man. We need details. Lookin' good, as always. -Sam.

Re: Change of Altitude & Attitude! New wheel pics...
Thanks guys!
As for specs, the fronts are stock 15 X 6's with 235/75R15's and the rears are 15 X 8" 6-lug 4WD rims with 275/60R15's. I may add a rear spacer on the rears like I did on my red '69 C/10 to get the rears out just a little more. I also might gp with a 215 or 225/70 on the front. The 235's measure the same as the 275's on the rear but kinda appear taller.

Re: Change of Altitude & Attitude! New wheel pics...
I like it without the caps. Just a little too much white with the caps. JMO and I know it don't count for much. That's why we got chocolate and strawberry. Don't take this personal Jamie.

On the contrary! I checked, and they fit the 3 and 4 nubbers just fine. No pressure though!

Re: Change of Altitude & Attitude! New wheel pics...
Not at all bud! That's what makes the world go round. It would be a pretty boring place if they were all the same. I gotta admit though, it was kinda hard to pop the caps on, because it did look real without them also.

I think Jimmy Buffet would be proud. Just need a cheeseburger on the dash and that thing would be paradise.

Re: Change of Altitude & Attitude! New wheel pics...
Actually your truck is the main one making me want the low, chopped up big un's and lil' un's look. I was hoping to have a look similiar to your's. I still think I'm gong to need those wheel spacers to get exactly the look I want.

Those look sweet! I'm not a fan of caps, but for a stock looker, they work perfect.
