Re: what do you guys think of this
Different strokes is all.
There is a '68 here in town sitting on 18" 100 spoke wheels. I shuddered the first time I saw it, but the more I see it, the better it looks. I wouldn't have gone that route, but it's not my truck.

Re: what do you guys think of this
Ya, I like big wheels, but anything bigger than a 20 on these trucks just looks funny to me. I have seen one or two trucks w/22's that looked good, but they were REALLY low.
I give the rest of the truck a 'thumbs up' though!

Re: what do you guys think of this
The thing about low profile tires is that if you hit a chuck hole, you may ruin the rim and tire, but may not notice. The ride quality also suffers. Unsprung weight is also a factor.
They probably handle better though. I once had a coworker who drove (we other coworkers) to lunch. I walked around the car and saw 3 tires with blisters/bubbles/whatever. I wouldn't want to go down the freeway on them for too long... |

Re: what do you guys think of this
Yep, toooo much wheel and not enough sidewall. A 2"rise in the pavement could destroy $100's worth of wheel and tire with that set-up. Not to mention that it does just look goofy.
I see the Caprice's and Impala's run around here all the time with 22-24" wheels. It's really funny to watch one hit a hump in the road at 55mph and chase the car into the next lane. I just laugh when I see them. Jay

Re: what do you guys think of this
I'm a fan of big rims, however there is a line when the wheels become to big or "out of place" on certain vehicles. Maybe it needs to be bagged or dropped....Hell, maybe it just needs smaller rims! One thing is for sure, I'm not a big fan of the tires, as mentioned above, a decent bump in the road will destroy those wheels.
