Removal of rear engine cross member?
I was wondering if anyone would know if they make a urethane mount for the rear engine mounts? Also I was thinking of possibly removing the rear engine cross member, If anyone would know if thats a bad idea... (Its for a 67 2wd swb ,4speed muncie-383 stroker) Thanks to anyone who helps!!

Re: Removal of rear engine cross member?
How will you support the rear of the engine without the crossmember?

Re: Removal of rear engine cross member?
Lots of people remove the crossmember when swapping to an auto. They then install a tranny crossmember. If you do remove it you will need to install a tranny crossmember to support the tranny and rear of the engine.Look at any 60's car with the tranny crossmember and you will see that it supports the rear of the engine and the tranny.
